被動語態。
核心知識
1．語法：被動語態。
英語中有主動和被動兩種語態。主動語態中主語是動作的執行者；被動語態中主語是動作的承受者。
e．g： We speak English. (主動句)
執行者
English is spoken by us. (被動句)
承受者
(1)被動語態的謂語構成：be+過去分詞
注意：①若要保留原來動作的執行者，則將其放在介詞by之後。(見上例by us)
②不及物動詞無被動語態形式。
③be隨句子時態的變化而變化。
(2)被動語態的用法：當不知道動作的執行者或沒有任何必要指出動作的執行者，而需要強調動作的承受者時，使用被動語態。
e．g： English is widely used by people all over the world.
(3)當主動語態改為被動語態時，若主動句中有兩個賓語，則可把其中任意一個賓語作為被動句的主語。
e．g： Mother gives me a present. (主動)
I am given a present by mother. (被動)
A present is given to me by mother. (被動)
2．be made of/from/in與be made up of.
(1)be made of：“由……製成”，原材料一般是未經化學變化，仍可看出原材料。
e．g; The house is made of stone. 房子是石頭建的。
(2)be made from：“由……製成”；製成品看不出原來的材料。
Paper is made from wood. 紙是由木材製成的。
(3)be made in：“在某地製造”。
The car is made in China. 這輛車產於中國。
注意區分：be made up of：“由……組成”
The team is made up of five students.
這個小組由五個學生組成。
3．be used for/be used as, 與be used by.
(1)be used for：“被用於做”for表用途，後接名詞或動名詞。
e. g：It’ s used for locking doors. 它是鎖門用的。
(2)be used as：“把……當作”
The box can be used as a table. 這隻箱子可以做桌子用。
(3 be used by： by：“被(sb)使用”
e．g： English is used by people all over the world. 全世界的人都使用英語。
4．a number of：“許多，大量”，後接可數名詞複數。a lot of, many.
e. g：I have a number of books. 我有許多書。
注意區分： the number of： “……的數量／號碼”
e. g：The number of the students in our school is five hundred.
我們學校學生人數有500人。
5．none與neither.
none代詞：“…中沒有一個”。一般指三者或三者以上都不是all的反義詞。
e. g：We are all very tired, but none of us stop to have a rest.
我們都很累，但沒有一個人停下來休息。
neither：代詞。“兩者中沒有一個”，是both的反義詞。
e. g：Neither of my parents in at home.
我父母都不在家。
6．quarters：四分之三
英語中分數的表達方法：分子用基數詞，分母用序數詞，分子大於1時，作分母的序數詞用複數。
1/2：a half
1/3：one third
1/4：one quarter
3/4：three quarters
2/5：two fifths
