本單元圍繞“Ability”這一主題及“Joining a club”這一話題展開聽,説,讀,寫等多種教學活動。培養學生能力是當今素質教育的重要內容,也是一個非常貼近生活,非常具有時代性和可挖掘性的教學主題。它符合學生的認知水平,在學生中有較強的認同感。在Section A中,學生可以通過談論或詢問彼此在某方面的能力以及喜好與意願,學習新單詞及情態動詞can的用法。在Section B中,又增加了談論音樂才能方面的單詞,設計了相關的聽力練習,提供了招聘廣告給學生學習閲讀和寫作。因此,在整個教學中,教師應突出以話題為綱,交際功能為主線,精心設計各種任務,以任務為載體,搭建意義交流的舞台。通過教學,使學生對自己的能力充滿自信。對於他人的才能則要持客觀和欣賞的態度。從而可以實現自我的快樂成長。也可以和周圍的人建立和諧融洽的關係。

九、教學目標

1. 通過本單元的學習,學生能聽懂描述某人在某一方面所具備的才能的句子和對話;能口頭描述某人在某一方面所具備的才能及談論自己的喜好與意願;採訪同學們對現有課外活動小組的看法;能讀懂描述某人在某一方面所具備的才能的對話和簡單文章;會寫招聘廣告及製作各種俱樂部海報。

2. 通過本單元的學習,培養學生參與各種英語活動的興趣。知道每一個人都是有所能而同時又是有所不能的。實現心理的健康和平衡。對自己將要着手去做的事情做到心中有數。對自己的能力充滿自信。對於他人的才能則要持客觀和欣賞的態度。從而可以實現自我的快樂成長。也可以和周圍的人建立和諧融洽的關係。

2. Presentation (呈現新知識)

(1) Present the new words: sing, swim, dance, draw, play chess, speak English,

play the guitar.

Show Ss the pictures and help Ss to understand the new words. Help them to say what the person is doing in the picture. Ask Ss to read the new words, and make sure that everyone can understand the meanings and read them correctly. Then use the new words to ask Ss questions.

Show the pictures as quickly as possible. Let Ss say the new words. Then use the new words to make small conversations.

2. 學生閲讀Grammar Focus中的句子,然後做填空練習。

3. 學生們完成填空試題後,可以打開課本檢查答案,對錯誤的句子,單獨進行強化記憶。

Ⅲ. Try to Find

老師將情態動詞的can的用法,以學案的方式呈現在大屏幕上,讓學生自主學習,並發現其用法。

1. 可以看出,在Can…?句型中,情態動詞can沒有________和_______ 的變化。

2. 用情態動詞can來詢問他人的能力可以歸納為以下句型:

Can + _______ + _________ + 其他?

肯定回答:_________________

否定回答: _________________

What + can + _______ + ________ ?

學生們合作學習討論上面學案的答案,總結情態動詞can的用法。

老師找部分學生對上述問題作答,並一起討論總結情態動詞can的用法。

Ⅳ. Practice

1. Look at 3a. 告訴學生們用所給的詞彙來造句子。首先,用情態動詞can及所給的第一個動詞詞組來造一個一般疑問句,並作出一個否定的回答。然後,用轉折連詞but及第二個詞組造一個肯定句。

Teacher makes the first one as a model:

Can Wu Jun speak English? No, he can't, but he can speak Chinese.

Ss try to make sentences using the phrases in 2~5. They can discuss with their partners.

Then let some Ss tell their answers to the class.

2. Look at 3b. Tell Ss that your school is going to have a School Show next week. What can you do? You can show your talent in it. In order to let all the students know about it. We have to write a poster. Now, read the poster below and try to complete the poster with the words in the box.

方法指導:應通讀全文,掌握短文大意;然後,仔細閲讀每個句子,根據空格前後的詞語進行推敲。比如,第三空格後有guitar一詞,可知些空格應填play一詞。其他類似。

【課後記】本課學習任務不是很大,藉助導學案,學生學習的積極性很高。但是對於單詞的記憶還需要加大檢測的力度。學生師友互助檢查單詞,小組比賽學習興趣蠻高的,繼續保持。海報文體的使用孩子們較感興趣,課上我採用了抽查的方式進行檢查,孩子的注意力度大,準備的範圍也較廣泛,很好。

一、教學目標:
