1. 英語26個字母中, Aa, Ee, Ii, Oo, Uu為元音字母;其餘為輔音字母。字母Hh, Jj, Kk中都有A的名稱音/ei/;字母Bb,Cc,Dd,Gg,Pp,Tt,Vv都含有E的名稱音/ｉ:/;字母Ff, Ll, Mm, Nn, Ss, Xx, Zz都含有/e/音。
2. 英語中用漢語拼音表示的中國人名、地名不用漢語聲調號。地名合寫成一個單詞，首字母大寫，如Hainan(海南)，Heilongjiang(黑龍江)等，人名要把姓和名分開寫，如：Zhang Yuhong(張玉紅)， Zhuge Liang（諸葛亮）等。
3. 當class, grade, row, number等名詞與數詞連用時，這些名詞和數詞的第一個字母通常大寫。如：Class Four (四班)，Row Eight (第八排), Number Twelve (十二號)等。
4. 用英語表達地址,一般按從小到大的順序,與漢語正相反,如:廣東省廣州市淘金路25號A1205, 就要譯成: A1205, No. 25 Taojin Road Guangzhou City Guangdong Province。
5. this (these) 指代近處的人（物），that (those )指代遠處的人（物），指物時疑問句的答語中多用it (they)代替。如：
-Is that a map? 那是一張地圖嗎？
-Yes, it is. 是的，它是。
另外， it可以用來指"人"，在不知是誰或指照片中的"人"或嬰兒時使用。如：
-Who is it? 是誰呀？
-It's me, Li Lei. 是我， 李雷。
6． 課堂用語
What row / class / grade are you / they in? 你們（他們）在哪一組（班、年級）？
We're / They're in Row / Class / Grade One. 我們（他們）在第一組（一班、一年級）。
Are we all here? / Is everyone here? 每個人都到了嗎？
Excuse me, where is Class Three? 打擾一下，請問三班在哪兒？
Who's on duty today? 今天誰值日？
7． 電話用語
Who's that? 你是誰？（問對方是哪一位時，不説"Who are you?"）
Is that ...？你是......？（打電話時習慣用this 指代自我，that 指代對方）
Hello, this is ... / Hello, 5665712. / Hello！(This is) English Coaching Paper Office.你好，我是....../ 你好，這裏是5665712。 / 你好，這裏是英語輔導報社。
Sorry, he's not at home. / Sorry, he's not in. 對不起，他不在家。
8. 詢問物品用語
What's this in English? 這個用英語怎麼説?
Is that a Japanese car? 那是輛日本小汽車嗎?
9. 詢問年齡、地點、位置用語
-How old are you? / What's your age? 你多大了?
-I'm ten. 我10歲。
-Excuse me. Where's the washroom? 打擾一下，請問洗手間在哪?
-It's over there. 在那邊。
