Trying Is the First Step
More often than not, people attach importance to the great results, ignoring the process of the attempts on the way to success. However, it is our courage to make an attempt that makes a difference.
I’d like to share my personal experience with you. Afraid of water, I hadn’t taken up swimming until last summer, when somehow I wanted to have a try. Encouraged by my parents, I signed up for a summer course. Initially, each time I jumped into the pool and tried hard to move my arms and legs, I failed to float my body. Instead of dropping out, I made up my mind to have another try. As a result of many successful failures, I not only got the hang of swimming, but also experienced the great pleasure of taking a dip in cold water on a hot summer day.
The experience has taught me a precious lesson that trying is the first step to our destination. So try something new bravely and you will find yourself achieving what you deserve.
嘗試是第一步
通常情況下，人們會重視偉大的結果，忽視了通往成功的道路。然而，我們有勇氣去做一種嘗試，這是有意義的。
我想和你分享我的個人經歷。由於害怕水，我直到去年夏天才開始游泳，那時我想嘗試一下。在父母的鼓勵下，我報名參加了一個暑期班。開始的時候，每次我跳進游泳池，使勁挪動我的胳膊和腿，我的身體都沒能浮起來。我沒有放棄，而是下定決心再試一次。由於許多成功的失敗，我不僅有了游泳的竅門，而且還體驗到了在炎熱的夏日裏泡冷水的.樂趣。
這次經歷教會了我一個寶貴的教訓：嘗試是到達目的地的第一步。所以，勇敢地嘗試新事物，你會發現自己得到了你應得的。
