從接觸英語開始，我就一直”沉浸”在背英語單詞中不能自拔，然而效果總是那麼小，我的英語成績始終在及格線左右徘徊，一不小就不及格了，為了英語，爸爸媽媽也不止教導我一次了，他們總是督促我背英語，整天整天的背。
這不剛寫完作業，媽媽就開始給我提問英語單詞了，我皺着眉頭，左思右想，也僅僅答對了幾個，當然少不了一頓批評，哎，還要接着背單詞。
直到有一天，我突然發現有好多單詞有相似的拼寫，我把它們放在一起，很快就能掌握他們的意思，我像發現了新大陸一樣，把這件事告訴了媽媽，媽媽説只要背會就行，這讓我有點泄氣，還以為她會表揚我一番。不過我發現我掌握單詞的速度還有準確率有着明顯的提高，媽媽也發現了我的進步，這讓我得意了好久。哼，可惡的英語，我也找到了你的破綻。
我用着自己的方法去學習英語，每次考試成績都會上一個台階，看來英語也並沒有那麼難學啊。

until the sui dynasty in the sixth century, emperor yangdi invited envoys from other countries to china to see the colorful lighted lanterns and enjoy the gala（節日的，慶祝的）performances.
by the beginning of the tang dynasty in the seventh century, the lantern displays would last three days. the emperor also lifted the curfew（宵禁令）, allowing the people to enjoy the festive lanterns day and night. it is not difficult to find chinese poems which describe this happy scene.

today, the displaying of lanterns is still a big event on the 15th day of the first lunar month throughout china. people enjoy the brightly lit night. chengdu in southwest china's sichuan province, for example, holds a lantern fair each year in the cultural park.

送報那天下午，我和幾位同學跟一個從美國回來的女老師在大慶區健強超市裏玩“英語”。
老師説我們搶答英語單詞可以得分，最後看誰的分數得的最高，她就免費給那個同學買一根冰淇淋。我們都興奮得不得了，都想快點拿到高分。
老師先帶我們到水果區，老師讓我們自己挑水果，挑完了，老師就開始教我們讀，讀完了再複習一遍，複習完了就開始搶答問題。答對一個得一分。我們都開始積極地搶答，我們都得到了很多分數。
老師又帶我們到了蔬菜區，老師讓我們每人挑一樣蔬菜。我挑了一個西紅柿。又一陣嘰哩呱啦的討論後我們就要開始搶答了。這一次搶答，我只拿到了3分，不過這也算最好的成績了。
搶答完蔬菜，我們又去搶答零食。看到那麼多好吃的零食，我的口水都快要流下來了，但我還是忍了回去。
最後我得了13分，沒有拿到最高分。最高分是15分，然後是14分。拿到這兩個分數的同學都得到了老師給的冰淇淋。雖然沒得到老師的獎賞，但我媽媽仍然給我買了一袋薯片解饞。吃着薯片，我很開心！
