time is running out for my friend. while we are sitting at lunch she casually mentions she and her husband are thinking of starting a family. "were taking a survey,"she says, half-joking. "do you think i should have a baby?"

"it will change your life," i say, carefully keeping my tone neutral. "i know,"she says, "no more sleeping in on weekends, no more spontaneous holidays..."

but thats not what i mean at all. i look at my friend, trying to decide what to tell her. i want her to know what she will never learn in childbirth classes. i want to tell her that the physical wounds of child bearing will heal, but becoming a mother will leave her with an emotional wound so raw that she will be vulnerable forever.

i consider warning her that she will never again read a newspaper without thinking: "what if that had been my child?" that every plane crash, every house fire will haunt her. that when she sees pictures of starving children, she will wonder if anything could be worse than watching your child die. i look at her carefully manicured nails and stylish suit and think that no matter how sophisticated she is, becoming a mother will reduce her to the primitive level of a bear protecting her cub.

i feel i should warn her that no matter how many years she has invested in her career, she will be professionally derailed by motherhood. she might arrange for child care, but one day she will be going into an important business meeting, and she will think her babys sweet smell. she will have to use every ounce of discipline to keep from running home, just to make sure her child is all right.

i want my friend to know that every decision will no longer be routine. that a five-year-old boys desire to go to the mens room rather than the womens at a restaurant will become a major dilemma. the issues of independence and gender identity will be weighed against the prospect that a child molester may be lurking in the lavatory. however decisive she may be at the office, she will second-guess herself constantly as a mother.

looking at my attractive friend, i want to assure her that eventually she will shed the added weight of pregnancy, but she will never feel the same about herself. that her own life, now so important, will be of less value to her once she has a child. she would give it up in a moment to save her offspring, but will also begin to hope for more years—not to accomplish her own dreams—but to watch her children accomplish theirs.

i want to describe to my friend the exhilaration of seeing your child learn to hit a ball. i want to capture for her the belly laugh of a baby who is touching the soft fur of a dog for the first time. i want her to taste the joy that is so real it hurts.

my friends look makes me realize that tears have formed in my eyes. "youll never regret it," i say finally. then, squeezing my friends hand, i offer a prayer for her and me and all of the mere mortal women who stumble their way into this holiest of callings.

I took one fish out and threw it to the cats. I wanted to see who was the first one to catch the fish. Mother cat held it in her mouth and nm away quickly. She didnt eat it, but put it down, then called her children there. The four starving little cats began to devour the fish, but their mother just stayed there looking at them tenderly, without eating a little bit. On seeing that, I thought of my mother.

The greatest and noblest love in the world is maternal love. Ive been bathing in the sunshine of my mothers love since I was born. However, my mothers love for me seems different.

I remember when I was a child, my family went out for a walk, and they saw other children of the same age withdraw from their mothers arms. They were very envious, because my mother always encouraged me to walk with my own feet. At that time, I thought my mother was too unreasonable, and even asked my father, "did I come from my mother?". However, now I find that when there are many girls in my class who are bothered by the 800 meter endurance run, I can easily reach the standard. Because of my mothers unique education, I am better at self-care and self-reliance than girls of my age. This also made me understand the profound meaning of Lu Xuns saying that "the road is the way people come out".

A little older, I like to pester my mother to tell stories. But my mother asked me to tell her a story or retell her story in exchange for every story I heard. Now it seems that my oral expression ability is strong and my composition is easy to write, which is related to coax!

But mothers love has something in common with others. When I am ill, my mother will accompany me and take care of me until I recover. When I encountered setbacks in my study and life, my mother encouraged me, gave me courage and confidence. "Fall down and get up!" This is what my mother often said to me, and this sentence accompanied me through more than ten spring, summer, autumn and winter. It gives me strength and promotes my progress. For this reason, I sincerely thank my mother for her love.

Time passed by us without mercy, unconsciously I have passed 16 years. In every inch of time, I know my mother didnt worry about me. Her silver thread and fishtail pattern proved all this. Everyone can get a great maternal love. Although I dont know how great it is, I dare to say that what I mean by maternal love is what I think is the greatest maternal love - the maternal love that gives me care, encouragement, confidence and strength!

Someone says, love is an endless book, indeed.

A mothers love is like the spring rain, quietly moistening your heart, rooted in the depths of the soul. It brings a piece of green, the harvest is the joy. It is accompanied by growth of every little bit, hiding power, seem to have no bottom. This is the need to feel.

Love is like the wind, gently blowing your heart, in the spirit world to relax myself. It will give you comfort in the kind of care. Like rain, wash away all the worries and sadness.

The maternal love is also like the autumn night sky a bright moon, quiet and not lonely. In silence it encourage you, support you, so that you do not feel lonely. In the night curtain, shot a concern about the moon shine on you, it is a kind of sweet, is also a kind of love.

Maternal love is more like a heater in the winter, the warm love, is the best gift. When the fire in the shine on your face, you feel the warmth and love? It is the greatest in the world, the love of power, it can melt all, remove all obstacles.

Maternal love is boundless, life is full of love.

Maternal love is the early morning a cup of hot water before going out; is a bid; home is after a greeting; is a winter coat; is the movement of a towel; sleep is a " good night "; is ... ...

When the sun rises, when the West sunset gradually faded; when the northern geese swift return, when the southern fishing gradually. Love is never leave. No matter where in the world, the heart of a mother is always worried about, and the line is the motherly love.

Maternal love is priceless, motherly love, motherly love forever I will never finish.

In the early morning, my sister went out and brought home a bunch of pretty flowers. Right after my mother got up out of bed, we said "Happy Mothers Day"! to her and gave her the flowers. My mother was very happy; she smiled and said, How wonderful the flowers look! Thank you! Also, we told her we were going to do all the housework for our beloved mother, and she could take a rest for a day. In the beginning, we were excited about all the work we can do at home.

Before long, we found that the housework seemed to be endless, There was cooking and washing, and cleaning to do, and there was shopping to do, too . During the dinner hour, the kitchen seemed so busy. My father was making a salad, my sister was baking a pie for dessert, and I was washing rice and vegetables, and there were many other things to do. Finally, the dinner was ready; it was two hours behind the usual schedule. The food was not as delicious as my mothers. Nevertheless, my mother and father enjoyed it, and felt very proud of their daughteand and son.
