走過滿地碎石的殘垣斷壁，一處乾涸的池塘展現在眼前，它就是海晏堂。岸邊12個大理石基座傷痕累累，上面精美絕倫而殘缺的浮雕，仍能見證曾經的輝煌。這上面曾放着惟妙惟肖、聞名遐邇的12生肖銅首，此時，它們早已蕩然無存，大多不知下落，流落異鄉。“獨在異鄉為異客，每逢佳節倍思親。”我想，這些失落的銅首，在我們歡慶祖國日益強大的時候，一定翹首以盼，渴望早日迴歸祖國！
海晏堂後，是曾經金碧輝煌的大水法。如今只剩下化為石堆的儲水塔和一堆七零八落的石柱：一些被攔腰截為兩段，一些被“碎屍”萬段，還有一些悽慘地橫倒在地，仰天長嘯......我驚愕：如此堅硬的石柱，在侵略的炮火中也灰飛煙滅，可見當年那羣貪婪的小鬼是多麼猖狂！
繞過大水法，依次參觀了萬花陣、養雀籠......當年這裏曾是神話和奇蹟般的“萬園之園”，如今已在兩天兩夜，火光沖天的洗劫下，變成一片廢墟！
圓明園的大火雖然已熄滅，但我心中的怒火正在燃燒。圓明園的毀滅讓我們銘記：我們只有努力奮鬥，才能強大，才能不被他國欺辱；我們只有不斷強大，才能讓祖國走上覆興之路，實現偉大的“中國夢”！

At nine in the morning, I went to the countryside with my classmates. On the way we saw many rice fields and woods on both sides of the road. Farmers have built factories, shops and schools in many villages. Between ten and twelve we visited ten families. Many farmers who grew vegetables and raised silkworms became rich. Some families have bought color TV. Their life is much better than before. It’s said that some American friends would come to visit their village, too. Some old machines, such as a broken radio or TV set your child plays with will make him curious and arouse his interest.
