either的用法是什麼：
1、either用作代詞，意為“（兩者之中）任一、任何一個”。在句中可作主語（此時句中謂語動詞用單數）、賓語、表語和定語（作定語時，有的詞典把它稱為形容詞；either作定語時，只能修飾單數名詞。）如：
Either (of the books) is popular with the students.
（兩本書）隨便哪一本都受到同學們的歡迎。（主語）
I have bought two cakes you may have either.
我買了兩塊蛋糕 你要哪塊都行。（賓語）
The books were either works on travel or detective novels.
這些書要麼是旅遊方面的書，要麼是偵探小説。（表語）
You can park on either side of the street.
在街道的哪邊停車都可以。（定語）
2、either用作副詞，用於否定句作“也”解釋，通常置於句末。如：
I don”t like the red shirt and I don”t like the green one either.
我不喜歡這件紅襯衫，也不喜歡這件綠襯衫。
As for me, I shall not return there either.
如果是我，我也不會回到那兒的。
either還可用來強調含否定意義的短語。如：
I know a good ltalian restaurant. It”s not far from here either.
我知道一家意大利餐館，離這兒並不遠。
3、either可以構成短語，either…or…，意為“或……或……、不是……就是……”，在句中連接兩個並列成分。如：Either you or Tom has done it.（連接並列主語）
不是你就是湯姆做了這件事。
You may either stay at home or go there with us.（連接並列謂語）
你既可以待在家裏也可以和我們一道去。
注：在連接兩個並列主語時，謂語動詞必須在人稱和數上與靠近的主語保持一致。
4、either的反義詞為neither“（兩者）都不”，either…or…的反義詞組為neither…nor…“既不……也不……”。如：
You can drop either of the two courses.
你可以放棄這兩門課程中的任何一門。
You can drop neither of the two courses.
這兩門課程中的任何一門都不能放棄。
Either you or he has made the mistake.
不是你就是他犯了這個錯誤。
Neither you nor he has made the mistake.
犯錯誤的.既不是你也不是他。
either…or…表示兩種可能性中任選一種，其後面必須連接兩個相同的句子成份。例如：
The sentence can be either true or false.句子要麼是對的要麼是錯的。
You can either come with me or walk home.
你要麼跟我一塊去，要麼走回家去。
Either mum or I cook supper.要麼我母親要麼我做晚飯。
neither…nor…連接兩個相同的句子成分，表示否定的意思。動詞的單複數形式與nor後的單詞主謂語相一致。例如：
Neither Li Lei nor Wang Hai was there.李雷和王海都不在那裏。
I neither watch TV nor listen to the radio.我既不看電視也不聽收音機。
