Protection of the Environment
Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment. There were few people on the earth, and natural resources seemed to be unlimited.
Today things are different. The world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources,and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, human life on earth will not survive.
We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea, there will soon be none left. Yet,with modern fishing methods, more and more fish are know that if too many trees are cut down, forests will disappear. Yet, we continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees. We see that if rivers are polluted with waste products, we will die. Yet, waste products are
still put into rivers.
We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate, in a few years, there won＇t be enough can we do to solve these problems?
If we eat more vegetables and less meat, there will be more food available. Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are kept.
Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them.
The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods of birth control.
Finally, if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have a better and cleaner planet in the future.
Protecting the Environment
Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world. For example, cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and poisonous gas is given off by factories. Trees on the hills have been cut down and waste water is being poured continuously into hermore, wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. Pollution is, in fact, threatening our existence.

The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves and for our later generations. Fortunately, more and more people have realized these problems. Many years ago, I saw an interesting movie. It pictured the future life that people could fly in the sky by cars. Of course, I don't think it will happen in the coming time.
The change in cars is about the energy. It is said that the cars will use both electricity and gasoline, which can reduce pollution.
I think it is a great change for cars. More and more people have cars now and the gas they release brings heavy pollution to the air, which damages our health. The cars can use electricity in the long trip. When it runs out of it, then gasoline can be a substitute.
With the increase in the general standard of living， some ordinary Chinese families begin to afford a car. Yet opinions of the development of a private car vary from person to person.
Some claim that there are many advantages in possessing a car. It gives a much greater degree of comfort and mobility. The owner of a car is no longer forced to rely on public transport， and buses or taxies. With a car he can go where he likes and when he wants， so much so that he can enjoy his leisure to the full by making trips to the country or seaside on the weekends， instead of being confined to his immediate neighborhood.
However， others strongly object to developing private cars. They maintain that as more and more cars are produced and run in the street， a large volume of poisonous gas will be given off， polluting the atmosphere and causing actual harm to the health of people. In fact， private cars contribute to traffic congestion so greatly that advantages gained in comfort and freedom are often cancelled out by the frustration caused by traffic jams.
Whether private cars should be developed in China is a difficult question to answer. Yet the desire for the comfort and independence a private car can bring won't be eliminated.
With the development of modern industry,more and more families are able to have their own ,seeing the problems like air pollution and the reduction of resources,some people appeal for the reduction of private l,I think there is every reason for the even faster development of the car industry.
Thanks to the development of the car industry, we do not have to cram in the buses, but can enjoy in our free our own cars, we can go to more places in a leisure way. Transportation becomes comfortable and easy. But there are those who worry that too many cars may cause more traffic problems, serious:air pollution and the exhaustion ofresources, While these problems may be true, they can be solved and some are being solved. For example, we can invent cars that can save fuel or use other types of energy so that cars can still be used even though resources run short.
